The Loop 21: Young People ARE 'Green'

Here is a snippet from my latest article over at Loop21.

Findings in a recent study are disputed by experts

According to a new study, young Americans – the Millennial Generation – aren’t all that green. The first piece to note this finding last week was an article published by the AP. Shortly after its publication, the piece was picked up by other major outlets.

The study entitled, “Generational Differences in Young Adults' Life Goals, Concern for Others, and Civic Orientation, 1966–2009,” purportedly finds that young people aren’t nearly as green as once believed.

But the claims were not bought hook, line, and sinker by all. Furthermore, several experts who have followed the work of one of its authors – Professor Jean Twenge – raised questions about her agenda.

On another note, I am working on an investigative piece on student loans, and am spending the week out in beautiful Northern California as a result.

Stay tuned for updates on that work.
