What makes you entitled?
Here's my answer: I am entitled because I want to rent my own apartment in the U.S.! What about you?
As a highly-educated, intelligent, and self-motived U.S. citizen, I expect to have a chance at decent employment. However, the extensive education on my resume often makes me "overqualified." (It is difficult to find better employment, when you cannot even land a goddamn interview.)
We all know that "You're overqualieid" is a BS excuse, meaning "We think that you will ask for too much money, and expect a chance to move up."
Interesting article in Washington Monthly about for profits, the cost of education and one unusual school that has a different model. Cryn, have you read this? http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/magazine/septemberoctober_2011/features/the_college_forprofits_should031640.php?page=6.

My dog has taught me that everyone is entitled to a tummy-rub.
Except for cats. Cats are only entitled to be barked at.
