Quick Thought
More people are defaulting than ever and student loan debt has surpassed $1 trillion. Despite this evidence, and other troubling facts, many insist that we're not experiencing a full-blown student lending crisis. I am at a loss for words.

As am I. This is literally unsustainable. I think that everyone who knows anything about this realizes it is a crisis, but by remaining in denial publicly, they convince the average citizen that doing something about the student lending crisis is not in their best interest. If this bubble pops and Sallie Mae is no longer contributing to campaign funds, how will politicians like John Boehner get reelected? It's in their best interest to insist that nothing is wrong!
