Favorite Quote from President Obama's Speech At University of North Carolina
President Obama just wrapped up a speech about maintaining subsidized loans at 3.4%. If Congress does not act by July 2012, that rate will double to 6.8%.

Another campaign stunt. I don't see either corporate party enacting such change; certainly not before this approaching deadline. Legislation takes months to enact. If he was sincere, then I suppose that he could issue an executive order to the Department of Education. That would at least show some level of commitment, and willingness to make this issue front and center.
He is simply trying to regain the pissed off, debt-soaked college students and grads who voted for his ass last time.
